Computer Science & Engineering
Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The department offers one UG Course (B.Tech in CSE) and One PG Course (M.Tech in CST). The UG course started in 2008 with an intake of 60, thereby progressing to the current intake of 180, while the PG course started in 2012 with an intake of 18 seats.
The department follows the university prescribed curriculum which comprises courses that suit the current industry requirements. Most of the courses involve practical exposure due to which the students’ practical learning experience gets enhanced. On the other hand subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep learning equip the students to latest trends.
The department has state-of-the-art laboratories with 200 plus systems that caters to the computing needs of students.
Faculty members are strength of the department who responsibly execute the teaching learning process besides developing their subject expertise by attending professional development programs, workshops, seminars and conferences. They enhance their research capabilities by publishing papers, presenting papers in conferences and through other avenues. In addition visiting professors are also accommodated to deliver guest lectures which augment the student learning process.
Students take part in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which reveal their hidden talents. The activities are chalked out through the student forum “Valiant wizards”. They are encouraged to participate in various workshops, seminars, sports, cultural and other such events.

- Categories of seats: The sanctioned seats in each program in the college are classified into Convener Quota (CATEGORY – A) and Management Quota (CATEGORY – B) at the first year level and Lateral Entry at the second year level.

Message from HOD
With an ideology that knowledge is one value that never ever diminishes is what helped me and my husband establish BITS in 2008. Where education is all about managing human resources, I call BITS a women institution. For me those priceless satisfied smiles of parents and students are indeed a blessing. Coming up to the pillars of my entrepreneurial mind, I set my own code of conduct. Initially, the staff has to be paid on time which makes them feel safe and secure. I assure faculty of my institution are assumes of Health and Happiness.
If asked upon my Success secret, I would undoubtedly say – I walk the talk, Enjoy the challenges and believe in transparency as well as hard work. I’m a kind of a woman who believes that the best way to crack a problem is to go through it and finish it off.
