Girls and Boys Hostels

Ideal hostel facility with homely atmosphere is provided within the campus. Mess with a modern kitchen and spacious dining halls are attached to the hostel. Many recreation facilities are also provided.

HOSTELS

The objective of the Hostel is to provide suitable and comfortable accommodation for deserving students from Andhra Pradesh and outside the State. The Hostel also has separate block to accommodate exclusively for girl students.

Facilities provided are as follows: -

Free internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for academic purposes only and subject to conditions.
Arrangement for 24 hours power supply.
Students permitted for outings on medical grounds have to submit MEDICAL REPORTS & CERTIFICATES on return.
In case of serious illness or for the treatment suggested by the specialist doctor, the Management provides transport facility for admitting her to a nursing home / hospital at their own cost.
Indoor / outdoor games are provided in the hostel.

Cafeteria

BITS Vizag has the provision of a spacious and hygienic canteen that caters to the taste of all students.

Features

The canteen and cafeteria are equipped with modern furniture, cooking and storing and refrigeration facilities, which provide hot lunch, snacks and beverages both to the students and staff at reasonable rates.
It can comfortably accommodate more than 300 students at a time.
It is well maintained with efficient service counter..
The canteen serves a variety of dishes and remains open on all working days.
Beverages as per the prevailing season and requirements of the students are available.
To break away from the daily academic routine students can unwind during the evenings at cafeteria offering a wide range of fast food varieties at nominal prices.

Mineral Water Plant

Water is the elixir of life which rejuvenates biological system in the body for better functioning. Now-a-days water is being polluted and the fact is that there are many water-borne diseases which are contagious in nature and spread quickly. Purified water is the solution for it.

The mineral water plant provides plenty of purified water continuously to hostlers, colleges and everyone in the campus. The free of cost purified water is hygienic, packaged and is daily transported to every place in the campus.

Mineral water plant was set up in the campus and uses the Domestic RO System. It brings the water in its purest and safest form in through an effective and five-stage purification process. In addition, it is maintained by an exclusive team of Administration staff to look after the water plant regularly, through which the College is assuring the safe water to all our students and staff.

Transportation

BITS Vizag owns a fleet of luxurious transport buses that pick and drop faculty members/students from different places. The transport facility is spread across a wide range of areas covering Steel Plant, Kurmannapalem, Srinagar, Gajuwaka, Autonagar, Jagadamba, BHPV, Nathayyapalem, Sheela Nagar, Malkapuram, NAD, Pendurthy, Punjab Hotel, Birla, Kancharapalem, Thatichetlapalem, Port Hospital, Akkayyapalem, Satyam, Eenadu, Gurudwara, Maddilapalem, Isukathota, Hanumanthwaka and such.

The Transport Fee is levied year-wise and each bus is provided with the details of Faculty In-charge and Driver.

Internet Facilities

WI-FI Campus

21st Century belongs to “the era of Web connectivity 24×7” as the Internet plays an essential role in today’s life. The need and importance of Internet in the field of education is supported by round the clock high speed Internet connectivity of 105Mbps 1:1 and has strong backbone of dedicated OFC link throughout the campus which helps the students surf the Web at their convenience. Thus, they can enhance their knowledge as well as extract unlimited Information.

In addition to this, the students are also being provided Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) enabling the students access online information anywhere in and around the campus using their Laptops. This further helps them to use facilities of e-mail, net surfing, up/down loading of web based applications helping them preparing projects and seminar presentations.

E-CLASSROOMS

E-classrooms also act as a medium for conducting seminars, technical quizzes and paper presentation contests. Spacious e-classrooms with excellent ambience and modern teaching aids like LCD displays, NPTEL video courses, multi-media projectors, etc. are made available to the students.

Security

At BITS Vizag, Security is also proved to be one of the best. At BITS, Security is maintained at grounded levels all round the clock. Separate in charges are appointed to take care of every corner and infra inside the college campus.

Around 300+ CCTV Cameras are fixed in every classroom and corner inside the College Building. The Hostels are also under surveillance round the clock.

The Camera Surveillance is thoroughly checked at regular intervals by the Administratove Department.
